We had a friend come in late, and I didn't get his pic yet, but I will. We will also have a new friend in the morning!
Today was all about getting to know each other, and learning some of our rules, routines and procedures. We have a new lunch routine- ask your student about it! New hallway routines as well! In our classroom, we learned about how numbers and math are everywhere, and how if we know our basic numbers 0-9, we can tackle the rest!!! Want some math practice to get started? We really, really need those basic addition and subtraction facts down pat. In fact, that is called 'automaticity' and it is very important in understanding how to get to the good parts of how numbers work. So here's a couple of links: http://www.abcya.com/third_grade_computers.htm#numbers-cat. Here you can pick a game to play to help and think fast! https://www.ixl.com/math/grade-3 This one has a free limit of 10 each day. http://www.mathplayground.com/ Is always lots of fun as well! Apps- just search your phone, there are quite a few free ones that are just for addition and subtraction! So, have a great night, I will see you tomorrow! Mrs. Froehling
