Sitting here, on my comfy couch, as it pours rain and turns colder, I am so thankful that I have my wonderful kids to see on Monday. We have had a week off during Thanksgiving and I really needed it, but I am ready to rock and roll with my kiddos on Monday as we take off into a new unit: Fractions!
Which leads me to a confession: Fractions are where Math and I parted ways back in 6th grade. I thought I would never get them down (back then, the 6th grade version is what our kids now do in 4th) and that is always lurking in my mind when I teach fractions! It has to make sense and it has to be real! OK, enough already, let's get going... Here's what our anchor chart will look like (thanks to matt-allisonblogspot.com)
